First introduced in 2002, the Custom 845 is truly tailored to the user’s writing preferences and is extremely popular worldwide because of its unique Urushi lacquer finish, two-toned, 18k gold nib and large barrel size. The perfect pen to use every day and pass down to future generations.

The Custom 845 is crafted from vermillion red ebonite and lacquered with pure Urushi lacquer (a natural sap) by Japanese maki-e artisans. Like their Namiki pens, Pilot uses a lacquering technique called Roiro, which requires substantial time and skill to create a uniform and mirror-like finish. Combined with luxurious custom gold elements, the Custom 845 is designed with beauty and longevity in mind. 

It comes in a elegant presentation box with a Pilot CON-70 converter inside the pen and a black IC-50 ink cartridges.
