The Sailor ProGear Realo in Burgundy is, for my money, the single most undersung pen in Sailor’s collection. With its distinctive flat-top design, 21K gold nib, gold-edged ink window and rich burgundy barrel, it’s a design that is both classic and belonging to Sailor and Sailor alone.
First introduced in 2006 as very limited edition of only 600 pieces, the Realo is Sailor’s one and only piston-filling fountain pen. With an ink window visible even when the pen cap is closed, the Realo allows one a moment’s notice glance at their ink level. Fitted with Sailor’s cult-favourite 21k Gold nib, the Realo is a real undersung of the modern fountain pen world.
