Vinta inks are obsessively designed and meticulously mixed in the Philippines using high quality ingredients. The Vinta Vintage collection takes inspiration from the Philippines during the 70s. This is a very interesting period in Philippine history defined by convergence of greater political resistance from students, a growing resistance against the Marcos regime and flourishing of art and pop culture.
The set includes three unique 15ml fountain pen inks:
- Blaze 1970 (Silab) – Commemorates the “First Quarter Storm,” one of the earliest collective demonstrations led by students against the leadership and administration of President Marcos. This vibrant orange shade is a reminder hat we all have the fire within us to fight against injustice and demand accountability.
- Pilgrim’s Blue 1970 (Peregrino) – In November 1970, Pope Paul VI visited the Philippines. Known as the “Pilgrim Pope,” this colour celebrates the deep and longstanding Catholic faith of Filipinos.
- Pink Rose 1973 (Binibini) – In 1973, Margie Moran of the Philippines won the Miss Universe pageant in Greece, making her the second winner from the Philippines. Pageantry in the Philippines is a source of deep pride and joy, which is captured in the bright pink ink.
